Name: Marc Silver
Blog: Pop Omnivore
Marc Silver is an editor, author, and pop culture addict. At National Geographic, he is deputy director for departments, a job that requires him to ponder fossils, mummies, global warming, and endangered tree kangaroos.
During the many hours that he lazes upon the couch at home watching TV and DVDs and (when his brain is up to it) reading books, he has noticed that the things he covers during the day are increasingly part of the popular culture landscape. In his spare time, he gardens and mows the lawn (with a push mower). He has written one book: Breast Cancer Husband: How to Help Your Wife (And Yourself) Through Diagnosis, Treatment, and Beyond.
